To meet offshore industry requirements for certification of their diesel engine flame trap and safety equipment, Safe Offshore Systems had just four months to devise and install an ISO9001: 2000 compliant quality management system, and to get it certificated by a UKAS-accredited organization. D.G.Edworthy Associates worked closely with the company management to design and implement a management system that kept paperwork to a minimum, provided an effective system of performance measurement, and met the requirements of ISO9001, all within the agreed timescale. The company was successfully assessed in May 2003 by the UKAS-accredited certification body, Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).
