In addition to providing software-related (TickIT) QA consultancy from July 1998 to February 2001, we helped this software house achieve ISO9000 accreditation for their new hardware manufacturing facility. We helped them develop manufacturing procedures and standards and integrate them into their existing ISO9001:1994 quality management system. The project was successful and in the autumn of 1999 the company was assessed by their certification body, DNV, and granted an extension to the scope of their accreditation to include manufacturing. The company’s qms then underwent a major tri-annual re-assessment by DNV, with zero non-conformities.
